I know that A&M is at the top of her choices for schools. Again, Thank you for sharing this special moment in time with all of us who can only dream the Aggie Spirit.Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14482503899100207523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5370489754386498812.post-5443151384830114562009-11-20T05:14:37.106-08:002009-11-20T05:14:37.106-08:00Thank you for such a heart-felt post about your ex...Thank you for such a heart-felt post about your experience. I think you are truly one of the lucky ones to have experienced Bonfire for all it was and to also have experienced the Aggie Spirit for all it is in the wake of Bonfire's collapse.

May God richly bless you.

Donna '95Donna @ Way More Homemadehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18023742893411141413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5370489754386498812.post-33045978360687240002009-11-18T20:06:59.143-08:002009-11-18T20:06:59.143-08:00Thank you for sharing your memories of the bonfire...Thank you for sharing your memories of the bonfire. It was such a great tradition. And the new memorial is beautiful. Although I never went to A&M, my blood still runs maroon. More than half of my family have gone to or at A&M. My greatest memories are at A&M. I will never forget the years that I went to the bonfire.

I was living in Memphis when the bonfire fell. I lived in the town next to where Tim Kerlee grew up. The outpour of love and support from Germantown, TN was amazing and his parents were phenomenal!

My God bless everyone effected by the bonfire. And we always remember those 12 that lost their lives and the others that were hurt.

Gig'Em Aggies and God BlessKaycehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14907254147553679728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5370489754386498812.post-76885093397952237872009-11-18T14:07:35.539-08:002009-11-18T14:07:35.539-08:00Thanks for this post. Traditions like Bonfire were the biggest reasons I became an Aggie and the reaction of the Aggie family to this tragedy sealed that decision.

One of my best memories of being in College Station was going to the Bonfire memorial with you the night before the dedication. It was a defining moment for me being determined to finish my degree at A&M.

May we forever remember those 12 who gave their lives. While most of us did not know them, their memory is forever burned into our hearts.

Oh and here's a link to Aggie Bonfire 1998 (the last on campus bonfire): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_kXxUWlFQwTXAggieBirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05811560991588098851noreply@blogger.com
